Rome

I've been here a lot. Never long enough to do some good sight seeing. I've never seen the "romantic" side of this place. Maybe its because I tend to be here whenever its ice cold so I'm shaking all over the place not able to enjoy it. Today however was 50 degrees outside so quite the improvement. You see, I'm not a major fan of the cold (if you didn't get that from my last post)

Speaking of my last post. . . Nothing exciting has happened to be real honest. I avoided Jeremy just for the mere fact I felt like a total idiot. After everyone got off the plane we normally chat it up for a bit then go our separate ways. yada yada yada. This time however, I bolted for the door and sprinted (yes, sprinted) to the next terminal. I know, I am a mild coward. This is true. I guess I didn't know what to say/do. Lets just call it "fight or flight" I'll give you one guess what I usually do. HA!

Anyway, back to this Rome business! a fellow flight attendant chick, Jenna, and I wandered around and took some pics. We found a pretty cool cathedral. And this is the pic you get to see. How exciting for you.

Love you. Thanks for reading my blog.

switzerland

Remember Jeremy? . . . . We "celebrated" new years about two minutes after everyone got off the plane in Indiana. . . . He's a pilot for the airline I work for. . . .anyway. Him.

So, I was in Switzerland walking around obliviously trying to decide where I was. I knew that if I got really lost I could find someone that spoke English. Hopefully. I knew I couldn't be to lost. For heavens sake how do I loose an airport.

It was fiercely cold wherever I was and I was getting sick of being out doors. Everything was solid ice and I kept slipping. I slipped my way into a local bar. Cozy little place. I got the sneaky suspicion however that people there didn't much care for Americans. I was to cold to care. I had a few beers and a shot or two or 5 of vodka to warm me up (if I'm going to be real honest it was really because I needed to zone out). I then had the genius idea that it was time to find the airport hotel so I could pass out. Well, remember the ice situation. . . HA! I was slipping all over the place. The combo of the Alcohol and ice was mildly humiliating. As I was falling for the 30th time. Someone grabbed me and held me up. It freaked me out, so I of course I attempted to punch him which then led to me falling yet again. at this point I was laughing to hard to even know what was going on.

Next thing I know, I am waking up from my alarm (didn't remember setting it) Thank goodness I had enough wits about me last night to set it. I had to shower in super human speed and get to my flight.

I was trying to figure out how I got to the hotel the night before as I was getting on the plane. Just as I was giving up Jeremy came to the back of the plane where I was. I Smiled and asked how he was and what was new. He just laughed and said, he should be asking me that. After a few awkward moments he said he found my key after he had helped me stop slipping. and took me to my room last night and set my alarm. I was so humiliated!!!! and grateful all at the same time. What are the odds. I didn't know he was that decent of a guy. I couldn't stop blushing. He gave me 2 aspirin and headed for to cockpit.

New York

Had a few days in the "Big apple." Met up with some friends and went to one of the best places in Manhattan. Cafe Mozart! What a small delight. When I lived in the city we'd all meet up there once a month to make sure we all kept in touch. It's nuts to look back even just 5 years and see how everbodys lives have changed. I ate the most scrumtroolesant piece of chocolate cream pie ever known to man. There is no way you can have bad feelings when your downing that puppy! That is for certain!

Everyone had to go pretty early except Luci. I was secretly glad just her and I got to catch up. We walked around that block for probably an hour. Just talked and walked (I'm pro at rhyming) Her and I get laughing so hard that we almost always pee our pants. Good friends are the best. Nothing can replace them!! SO good to visit my old stomping ground. XOXO to all!!

India

The Holidays were semi uneventful. I went home For Thanksgiving. My mother invited Jared over for dinner. Really mom??(!) Thanks for that awkward moment. Who's that you ask?? Well, he was my "High School Sweetheart" And everything that comes along with that awkward cliche. Plus more. . . It's a loooooong story, trust me I'm doing you a favor by not telling you. bla bla bla yada yada yada type of story. ;) However my mother has taken it upon her self to try and wed us before she dies (which I'm not entirely sure will ever happen).

Back to the story. . . It seemed to me that he was only there for politeness sake. That, and he and my brother decided in college there were BFFs. Charming story.

Yes, Sometimes I miss him. In fact i cry my self to sleep with a bottle of red wine. (bad, I know) but I know it was "unhealthy" and needs to be nothing but what it is.

I gave my mom that look which said "hello mother, I adore you and I know you mean well BUT not cool yo!!" She pretended she didn't see it and went on like nothing happened.

So, I played her game. Smiled, acted like nothing was wrong, Excused my self early and went to bed. Got up early the next morning and flew to India slightly numb feeling for some reason. First time in India. Interesting place. well, what I saw anyway. Took a train and walked around. This is what I saw.

Christmas was delightful. Loved being with the fam. Cozy cozy. My twin brother Clyde and I did our tradition of caroling together, I know its a little cheesy but I love it. Hes the best. Went to church for for the first time sense last year. It felt good. I need to go more. Couldn't stop hugging my pops. Hated to leave. sniff sniff.

Celebrated New Years with Jeremy, my favorite pilot, Just minutes after Everyone exited the plane to Indiana. Happy New Year. xoxo
